All drivers and components used for the OMD-28 have been specifically designed for this particular model and are custom made to guarantee superior performance. The woofer and midrange cones utilize woven carbon fiber and are mated to Mirage's patented Ribbed Elliptical Surround technology. The Ribbed Elliptical Surround technology was developed to guarantee linear inward and outward travel of the woofer, increased cone area and increased excursion. This technology, when applied to the new OM Design woofers and midrange drivers, allows the OM Design series to reproduce a level of sonic detail and accuracy unlike anything ever experienced.
